This weekend was work free for both Aaron and me. We planned to have a camping trip, and a strenuous hike up "Angels Landing." Sign one this camping trip was meant to be: We walked into Walmart to get stuff for smores. Right up front at the registers there was marshmellows, chocolate bars, and graham crackers made for smores. Sign two: We got home and turned on the TV. We flipped to the travel channel and they were talking about Angels Landing!!! What a coincidence right? However, the wind was soooooo windy!!! There was no way we'd be able to have a delightful campfire. We went to the campgrounds anyways, and lucky us, the camp area was in a cove that didn't have much wind. Oh but my bad, all the camp spots were full!!! ugh. So we went back to Aaron's mom's house and had a campout in the the orchard!! We roasted marshmellows with matches and made smores in the microwave. ha ha. It was a lot of fun. Then Saturday we were going to still try for a hike in Zions. We couldn't find ONE parking spot. It was sooo packed!! So we traveled back to his mom's and went for a 4 wheeler ride. That was fun too! We stopped and had lunch in the middle of nowhere. I asked Aaron, "What do you sound like when you scream?" HA HA. I have never laughed so hard!! He sounded so funny. :) Later, we went swimming, went grocery shopping, got a treat, made popcorn, and watched the movie "Old Dogs." (Such a funny movie) I about laughed my head off.
So even though sometimes plans don't go as...well...planned... those times are sometimes some of the funnest times. Make lemonade when life gives you lemons. :)
